I haven't been on a plane since I got my first piercing... however, I did hear about the fiasco earlier this year when that Lady was hassled about her nipple piercing...

question: was that a fluke with her setting off the alarm, or do I need to take my piercings out before I go through security.

hmmm as far as i knew there isnt enough metal for the alarms to go off [unless you have lots of large gauge piercings]

as for having to get nekid, im fairly sure they are no longer alowed to 'strip' you to check for nipple/genial piercings

if you're wearing titanium then it won't set off the detectors.

how many women wear standard lobe earrings? they don't set them off. so you needn't be worried.
well i might have somethin' to say about that, space man!

Lol. I travel on airplanes a lot and have never ever had any trouble with my piercings when going through the detectors, or even when they use the hand held on me.

The only problem I ever have is the annoying people in line going "You're never going to get through the metal detector like that. HA! HA! HA!" I hear this basically every time I go through airport security.

Once while I was in Houston some guy behind me in line told me I was "wrong" when I said that I wouldn't set of the metal detector. When I went through without setting it off he started pointing at me and yelling that I was a "security risk". Everyone was staring at me, it was rather embarrassing.

Other than that, it's always been a breeze for me.
I'll be at the APP Convention in Vegas May 1st-5th.

....i don't set off ones in airports...but i set off one in the prison when i went to visit Billy.
I had to report to the front desk, it was awful. and I had to explain to them it was my studded belt and the guy blurted out, 'was it not your face?'
