i did not post in any tone meaning to be taken on the defense. i just simply stated what i have learned from talking with people who are into such extreme modification. i'm not defending anyone, i'm just offering up what i know to you. i apologize if it was not the answer you were looking for, but over the years of me chatting with many, many individuals who have done such extreme procedures, the reasons i stated were the most common reasons for what they did, excluding the "they can thus they will" factor.

i didn't mean for my answer to come off like i was talking down to you, or like i think you are some ignorant prick who does not and should not deserve to know the reasons why people do such things. any rude remarks i did make were not directed at you but another user here. i think you have all the right in the world to be curious and ask why about things. if you don't understand something, i think you have the right to ask so you can understand. your question was not rude and i did not take it as such. again, i apologize for my reply being "sub par" and my tone being taken in the wrong way. i did not mean for it to be such.
