It's just as good as any. But then again, it is a TATTOO convention.

I really don't see a problem with it. As a piercer, I tend to fade into the background when it comes to any tattoo related events. It sucks to have to stick to paperwork and cleaning at a convention. If there were regular body piercing/modification conventions, I wouldn't mind at all. I like to get recongnized for my work too

ive been asked to do it alot and i do pretty well at shows... its just so hard to keep a sterile field in the open air and lack of running water is a bitch

I agree, but it's the same for tattooing. You still have the same risks and the same inconveniences.

There is a convention coming up here and we are renting a booth. It's my first time piercing at a convention so I'm a little nervous! I've done counter help at a convention, and I can already tell my problems are going to be with not having a sink. I guess it may be a pain, but I've heard that the money is definitely worth it.
I think conventions are a great way to network with artists and meet new people. You can build up more clientelle and become known for your work. |

most definatly... its just sterility hell. open air makes me nervous and i cant control the enviroment as much as i do in my shop. plus its hard to gauge how much people have been drinking at a show.

The question to always get them with is "How many drinks have you had today??" instead of "Have you been drinking??". I used to work in a shop that was next door to a bar, and they would always admit it immediately without thinking.
