it doesen't hurt and heals quickly, like he said, about the jewelery... i find a short barbell it's really comfy, but it doesen't show... so if what you want it's to show it you can either get a small cbr or a bull there i had first a barbell and it was like i had noething there (it didn't show and it didn't hurt), now i changed it and put a bull instead and it shows when i smile or when i talk.
it's comfy but sometimes when i'm eating bread or some stuff like that it pushes the jewelery up and hurts.
but noething else :D

Didn't hurt me at all.... I've been wearing a curved barbell...it looks cool. It's kind of odd to eat sandwiches and stuff though...but it healed super super fast.

i've tried both CBR and straight barbell styles in a smiley piercing. because i have two medusa piercings i find the teeny tiny straight barbell i wear most comfortable, but prefer the look of CBRs. i just can't wear them because they catch on other jewellery and have always caused migration (i've had it done four times). PTFE rod is nice because it can be cut down to size, which means you will likely not have issues with the jewellery slipping down to one side all the time like curved barbells or many steel barbells. you can cut the length you prefer. the length of mine is smaller than 1/4"(6.35mm). this type of jewellery also has never interfered when eating any food.
