I've been interested in getting my ears pointed for awhile now and thought this might be a good place to ask some questions.
Im looking for personal experiances from anyone whos had this procedure done. If you want to inculde photos that would be great. I curious about the healing procedure and what the pointed turned out like after it was healed. I've looked all over the internet [yes ive looked on BME] but im looking for experiances from people who've actually had it done any help would be awesome! |

Try talking to Kalima - Quentin does the procedures but he might be able to help you with any questions about healing and has some nice examples of them healed.

If I had not already fuck up my cartilage by stretching it,
I would most definitely be up for fucking it up like this. |

From what i can tell, they seem to slice the top of the ear and shape it around, then stitch it.
but im not sure if they remove part of the ear or just shape it. I've spoken to Howie of luna cobra and he seems to know what hes doing |

If you have any specific questions feel free to ask and I will see what I can do as far as answering them. It would depend from artist to artist what aftercare is recommended. Edited by BrandonV - April/23/2009 at 9:42pm |

Hi
I am also interested in changing the shape of my ears to a bit more pointed. I don't want, however, to have it like the pictures that I have seen on the internet (like on jonathanpiercing.wordpress.com) : I want a more natural, 'elvish' look, like Arwen in the LOTR movies - or even less pronounced than that; a moderate change in the curvature of the upper ear. Is something like that possible? And if so, would slicing be necessary or are there other ways to change the shape of the ear (semi) permanently? thanks for any help! |

Check out Samppa von Cyborg. It would be permanent though. xx Edited by hellodave - June/07/2009 at 5:13am |

Thanks - I asked him. I'm not sure though - it looks all very 'grungy' what he's into - I just want something subtle & sweet; though permanent is not a problem. Actually, permanent would be great. |

there is also a procedure where they open the skin at the top of the ear on the backside and slide in shaped shark cartiledge that will shape it without actual flesh removal
