cool thanks.
What sorts of questions should i ask to test a piercer to see if he knows what he is talking about? It's easy for me to do the interrogation thing when i get a new reptile or something cause i know about them...but when it comes to body mods... the tattooist or piercer could lie to me and i would most likely not know the difference... |

You can also check if your hood has enough skin to piece by using the Q-tip test (http://ringsofdesire.com/q_tip.html) ..or if you are comfortable with the piercer, s/he can help you with it.
The piercer would use a receiving tube, which is positioned as the Q-tip in the Q-tip test, to catch the needle from above. If the piercer uses clamp for vertical hood piercing, walk away. After that, the jewelry would follow and push the needle out. It's always good to see a portfolio with heal piercings. |

I'm glad I saw this. My pain was over before it started. My scream was cut off rather quickly (I'm very vocal)
I avoided uing wipes or toilet paper in favor of a warm water rinse . I bought a measuring cup for this purpose and kept it in the bathroom.
Use condoms for sex if possible.
I was originally pierced with a 10g straight barbell, and just recently stretched it up to a 6g. This time I'm using titanium, because the weight of the steel ones will stretch you out after a while.

I'm going to suck it up and getting over my anxieties and doing in on thursday >.>
I have a horse riding lesson earlier in the day so i decided going afterwards was probably a smart idea lol then i have 2 weeks to heal before the next lesson. I have emailed a few places in my area about it but haven't gotten any responses yet... hopefully i will find a good place by thursday! |

So only once place has responded to my emails and they are telling me it's $80 for this specific piercing... As of now I have no idea if the jewelry is included in that price but i would hope so because that seems someone expensive to me... is that a normal price to charge for something like this???

I dunno about over there, but we charge £30 for a hood piercing. Genital piercings tend to be one of the more expensive ones. :)

I did it! wasn't as bad as i thought it was gonna be heh got myself all worked up. it did still hut but like ya'll said it was only for a second then it was fine... was more awkward than anything else hehe |

yes! I was so giddy when i got out i could hardly drive home and had to sit int he parking lot for a few minutes to calm myself down lol
I'm very happy with it! and can't believe how much i had psyched myself out over it before hand lol |
