it's sad that so many people could care less about grammar nowadays. every language has it's own style of grammar and I think it's good to know yours!

Grammar is splendid, and contrary to popular belief one can communicate quite coherently and sensibly within the confines of correct grammar without losing any of your own verbal individuality.

What is rather sad these days, is that one cannot generally be understood when speaking correctly. Unfortunately, what this really shows is the evolution of language and how grammatical rules have changed to such an extent over the last 20 years that what used to be deemed "correct" is no longer truly valid.

Language is a means of sharing your thoughts and feelings with others. If you fail to let other people know what you actually mean, then you have failed. If someone understands what you means, but stoops to pedantry then they have failed.

Language and grammar evolves. I have a copy of Demonology by King James I, and it clearly demonstrates that what we currently deem "The Queen's English" is an utterly bastardised language. Let's not forget that English itself is such a compound of Latin, Greek, Germanic, Celtic, Asian and Eastern European languages. It's a linguistic mutt, and it's richness of expression comes from it's flexibility and incorporation of new phrases. To keep language where it is will simply kill it.
Love is a bleeding infection.
