Damnnnnn. That's neato that Bucket and Robert Plant will be there, and wild that it's free. You Californians and your concert/body modification opportunities...

That sucks about losing the mask, was it just like his? That'd be sick to see him on Halloween.. I think every time I've seen him has been in September, maybe once in late August.

I actually made a thread in the IWSBNH forums looking for artists that'd be able to give me a Bucket tattoo in the artistic style I want, but no one was able to offer me anything blaaahh

Yea, we have good shit going on from time to time. It was not like his, just a random 'scary face' halloween mask. Still would've been schweet to hang onto; damn stoner friends.

That sucks no one could help you out, tried checkin out the shops in your area?? And I'd still have to say the bucket "mask n crossed chickens" branding is probably one of my favorite I've done to date.

Haha, thanks for changing the link so I can see it! That is awesome, have you been able to see it healed yet?

Yeah, I've been searching for the right artist for that particular project for a while... I only just got my first piece in May (completed July, 7 hrs) because I finally found an artist/artists/shop in Pittsburgh that I liked... There are a LOT of tattoo shops in downtown Pgh but I honestly don't like any of their artists' work and it sucks so bad haha. But the shop I finally found is only like 10-15 from my house and the tattooists there are the best artists I've seen anywhere remotely close to where I live.

Still, none of the artists at that shop are fans of Buckethead, which is something I was kind of looking for because I think that could just make the work so much better. Another problem I'm having is that I am thinking there are probably a few really good shops that don't have an internet presence and I just have no way of finding out about them...

This is the piece at 2 months. Last I saw it still had some darkness to it, will have to get a more updated one soon.

Finding the right shop/artist can be challenging, but I wouldn't say necessarily that they themselves liking le Bucket could be as important as them really being into the concept/theme/style you're trying to get across as well, although I'm sure the 1st may not hurt. As far as interwebs, just call around and talk to a few to see what their shop provides and has at their disposal. I'm sure you'll find something soon enough. Also, make sure you're open to input from the artist as well. Most times (with the better ones) their suggestions are highly warranted.

I loooove that picture of it!

Thanks for those suggestions... this especially helped: "I wouldn't say necessarily that they themselves liking le Bucket could be as important as them really being into the concept/theme/style you're trying to get across as well"

I think that's the next piece I am going to start... Been thinking left calf/shin for this... Kind of want to incorporate a really nice atmospheric landscape (not sure if it will be dark or light yet) to contain Bucket in so I think I'm going to try to find someone who would be excited about doing that (:

And ahhh Bucket show tomorrow night, gonna be wonderful (:

Resurrecting this! Whose got some shows coming up they're going to?

I saw Buckethead, That 1 Guy, Woolf, and Xander Demos on the 6th I believe, and Opeth and Ghost on April 15th I believe.

Next ones I have planned are Phish some time in June (maybe 24th?) and Roger Waters on July 3 ~!

EDIT: And @MrJonz, Bucket ink still hasn't happened yet, still haven't decided on artist but mostly because I don't even have deposit money yet to meet with anyone to get started. -_-

Used to hit a few shows a month, but ticket prices are getting outrageous (I remember bitching about paying over ten bucks to see the likes of Slayer or Metallica). There are many bands that I have seen many times and never missed a show that I will be missing this summer due to not being willing to pay 50-120 dollars (+ fees) per ticket. Keeping an eye out for local bands to see for 10-15 bucks instead this summer. So no shows for a while due to saving money up for the Moddities gathering, mods and other travel.

I know what you mean.. Lately for me, mods have been taking a backseat to events...

Going to see Morrissey in January (boyfriend got us tickets for his November show in Pittsburgh but it was rescheduled), Coheed and Cambria (for the 4th or 5th time) in February, and They Might Be Giants (30th anniversary tour) in March.

Too lucky :')
