Just out of random curiosity and the fact that I came across a couple pictures of corset piercings, I have to wonder if there's a more permanent way to keep a corset set for a longer period of time. Most artists I've heard talk about it as if it's a pretty completely temporary thing, but is this always so? Are there steps or lengths that can be taken to make them last longer and be more comfortable when not laced?

Personally I think you would have to use anchors or surface bars, but even then, using a lot of those in one area will likely not have good luck for the long-term (especially places like your arm). I've seen some smaller projects last around a year, one in particular was six anchors on the lower back. She had it done a lot of times but always had migration problems. Essentially it can be expensive and still considered "temporary", but not as temporary as using captive bead rings.

Corset piercings will never heal with CBR's. The likelyhood of someone being able to get (and heal) a 'permanent' one also, is about as likely as women being able to get their (literal) clit pierced.
That being written, I have a close friend in Idaho who has achieved a 10 surface bar (corset) project on a girl's back. He used 1/2" surface bars, placed very specifically angled down her back, and to date, they are over 6 years old, healed, and not one problem/migration issue. So, technically, they can be achieved; but tremendous experience, proper placement control, quality jewelry and consistency are all but too important when acquiring them. |

I know of someone with a 4 pt corset, done with CBR's on her neck, and it healed. I met her 2 years ago, she still has them.
That is not something everyone can heal, not many could. Also, the clit can be pierced and has been. The woman obviously needs a large clit, suitable anatomy. As for permanent corsets, no. One "shop" charged this girl $200 for a 10pt back corset, with CBRs. The "piercer" also told her she could heal it. wtf. It rejected and made a mess, in the long run. |

I'm fully aware clit's can be pierced, and what anatomy would suit. Never said they couldn't. I wrote they were as likely to heal as a permanent one. There's always going to be exceptions to the rule, still doesn't make the basis any more sound.

Is there any place I could see a picture example? I know I'm still new to all of this, and that's probably the reason, but I'm having a hard time imagining the jewelry placement and it being able to hold up to stress well. |

I'll have to see if he can call her in to get more pix and then send me some. Might take a bit, but I'll see what I can do.

I'm actually working on a project using dermal anchors on someones back.they are vertical and are going to be used as "strings" on her back in between the f hole tattoos she has. After they heal were going to use slave ring tops to attach the ribbon whenever she pleases. Shes not going to wear it often but it will be there when she wants to. Before anyone asks yes we do have then set so she can still bend over without them pulling out lol. Thats what I would suggest. Its a big pain in the ass but worth it in the long run.

I spoke with him, and just as I suspected, he's a busy shop owner. He said he'll try and remember to call her in, but not for me to hold my breath. Anyway, I can assure you all, that they are healed and look incredible.
As to using anchors, this is one of the techniques that could have potential as far as longevity. Obviously the slave rings couldn't be worn/tied together for long durations, but it is more 'permanent' than cbr's. |
