you would be splitting the corpus cavernosum instead of between them. Bleeding to death isn't desirable for most men.

Ha that would suck.. I just figured if you could do it verticaly that you could do it horizontally as well.

This diagram shows a penis in cross-section and from this it is easy to see how  how you can cut vertically but not horizontally.

I have started to do a vertical head split and can anyone tell me if I go as far as the ridge does it cut into the corpora cavernosa and can it cause erectile dysfunction?

@ Keirin1980 ... The cross section you show is through the shaft whereas the original question referred to a head split.  However I found a saggital section at http://penis-enlargement-manual.thundersplace.org/tom-hubbard/2001-01/anatomy.html which shows that the discrete erectile tissues do seem to continue into the glans.

That said it seems to me that a vertical split would necessarily cut through the corpus spongiosum whereas it might be possible to do a horizontal split which separates the corpus spongiosum from the two corpora cavernosa without cutting into any erectile tissue at all.  In fact, it seems theoretically possible to separate all three erectile tissues without cutting into them.  This would result in a triple split penis which would be a really cutting edge mod.

I wonder if anyone has ever managed to seperate their corpus spongiosum (piss tube) from the rest of the shaft, i can emagin that the tube could then be stretched into a very long length, handing down under the cock.
I would love to see that!
