so, i have had my lobes stretched to 32mm (1.2") and was going to stretch to 34mm when the guy in the shop wouldnt sell me plugs cause he says that my ears are ready to snap, because the circulation isn't great. and that the blood lines are dead?

anyway i trust him, but was wondering if anyone knew of techniques to improve on this? i've been taking my plugs out when i sleep and putting vitimin e oil on them. will this work do you think? i could upload photos if you like...

thanks

Pictures would be great! Removing them at night and oil massages are two of the best things you can do. Also, downsizing and re-stretching exercises are known to help thicken the tissue. If the veins in your ear are indeed "dead" then you would have necrosis, which is where the skin dies. If you had necrosis, you would be having MANY problems with your ear right now.

I think your ears look fine, except with jewelry out they are a little wrinkly or what is also called "cat butt", usually caused from previous blow outs or stretching to fast. It's nothing to worry about at this point though. It's normal for larger lobes to have a red-ish color to them, especially upon putting them in. It doesn't necessarily mean you have poor circulation, but doing things that promote circulation, like sleeping without jewelry in and doing massages, are always a good idea either way.

I suggest with stretching to try the taping method instead of just pushing in the next size. Taping is a little slower and sometimes larger stretched lobes like that. Scalpeling is also an option.

cool thanks for the tips. yeah i normally go up 2mm at a time, and i've only recently taken the jewellry out at night. before this my left ear would sometimes be quite purple.

the left ear is the worse looking one with the jewellry out, it's down to a bad reaction to a silicone tunnel before the stretch had healed properly.

i've just got into bed, jewellry out, ears sticky with oil, now to dream of easing into the 40's :)

thanks (again) cale!

p.s

is there any special considerations to take into account if i was to stretch more after scalpelling?
thanks
