If you are a part of a body suspension crew, or have been doing professional body suspensions, please introduce yourself here!
Good things to mention are your affiliations, years working in a crew, how many suspensions you've done, how many you've been in yourself, and anything else that may help show your credentials as a professional body suspension practitioner. Please only create one post. You may edit the post as needed, and it will prevent duplicate entries. For non-pro's, please read through this topic to see who has done what, and find someone that can help you! My name is Mike Coons (BigMike) and I am the Director of HOOKED
Suspension Team in Omaha, NE. I am also acting executive director of
DisGraceLanD Entertainment which is a partnership between my team,
DisGraceLanD Hook Squad (NYC), Skin Mechanics Suspensions &
Steelworks(Fort Lauderdale,FL) and NASSAU CHAINSAW DisGraceLanD
Demolition Committee.
I first got into suspensions after my first time up in 2004 and attended a Suspension Seminar taught by Allen Faulkner and Erik Dakota and put on by Professional Piercing Information Systems (PPIS) and Skye Renfro. After attending that seminar and NorCal SusCon that year and the next I started HOOKED in Omaha in 2007. WHat started out slowly has grown into HOOKED having 20-30 members and holding an event every month where we suspend anywhere from 7-15 people. My team has attended the Dallas Practitioners SusCon every year it has been held. This event is for promoting the safest way of facilitating suspensions and has classes to help newer practitioners as well as seasoned suspension artists. I believe this forum was made to help pass out information to potential or experienced suspendees, as well as to help practitioners to learn new and safer ways of doing things. But like Adam stated, we nned to keep the bashing down. So I offer up my experience and expertise to anyone who has a question involving suspension of any kind. P.S. If you are looking for solid suspension groups in your area please go to www.suspension.org. They have a list of worldwide suspension teams. Otherwise ask me and I will do some research and get you in touch with the right people. Hello!
My name is Chai and I run CALM Suspension Team in STHLM/SWEDEN. It´s a crew of 14 members and we offer suspension to the general public, suspend at conventions and perform. I also run CALM Bodymodification wich is also located in STHLM/SWEDEN. English is not my mother tongue so please correct me if my spelling is off. |

I'm Cale and co-founded Mile High Suspension in Denver, Colorado with my dear friend Cole. Cole and I were previously members of a team called Perforations that disbanded a few years ago. I was a member of Perforations off and on for two years (2008-2009ish) and also have helped with private suspension meets in town. I've been into suspension since I was around 21, but did not start getting involved with the suspension community until 2007.
Mile High Suspension is a small team of only three people and we offer public and private suspensions. We (for sure myself) will also be at the Dallas Suscon event this year. You can see more information about us on suspension.org. :) |
