someone, not really a friend, has a mod that you don't like?
It might be badly done, not suit them or you just don't like the design.

A colleague at work as just got a punch of border collies in a sleeve.  He clearly likes it, but he's really skinny and the design just 'sits' weirdly.   From one angle it's just a tattoo of dog asses.

I'm not very good at small talk so stuck to open questions about aftercare and then found an excuse to run away.

Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbons. The film has Joanna Lumley collecting bodices. What more is there to say?

I wouldnt say anything personally. I have a bunch of friends that have tattoos that i would never get, but they probably think the same of some of mine. Everybody has different taste.
Look at you now hero

I'd agree with not saying anything. I don't care for over 50% of the work I see. I just bite my tongue. It is his/their body, and they are entitled to their own opinion. Plenty of people don't like my ears; I would rather not be reminded that constantly because I personally love them.

yea ill agree with drift, just dont complement the tattoo, but just because someone dosent like someone elses mods, still dosent give them the right to degrade or put down a mod in my opinion. there are friends i know and they got cheap back alley tattoo's and i still say "ehhh if u like it thats all that matters"

I don't think it would be hard to avoid saying you don't like it you can just nod or keep the talk to what they like about it, I don't like my friends tattoos but there's not reason to tell her, it doesn't really matter. :)

I mean... unless the person is like, "HEY, DO YOU LIKE MY TATTOO?!" just don't say anything. lol.

If I were asked directly, I would probably just say "It's not my style, but it's awesome that you like it."

There's no reason to let someone know that you think their dog ass tattoo is gross.

i'm pretty sure i wouldn't say anything in this situation unless i was asked.

the only time i've had this happen was when a student i had got the back of his hands (really great first tattoo..) tattooed at a "hotel party", and they were done so badly and were such a mess that he was afraid they were infected. i told him why they were bad (after he very worriedly asked me how bad they were) and did a lot of health/sterilization explaining..

There will come a time in your friends' life where someone will make a comment about dog asses on the back of his arm. When he brings it up to you then, then you can say "yeah, it does look sort of strange...."

What you think doesn't matter! If he likes it and is happy about it, that is all that really matters.

Saying "this" or "that" will not change the fact that he has it on him and it will not change. So why not actually be a good friend, and try to find a way to make him feel good about it, instead of bringing up the word "strange" that would likely make him feel bad/regretful??
