    Posted: December/09/2011 at 11:42pm
I've had my apadravya for a while now and I'm in the process of stretching it to somewhere around a 0ga (it's about a 2ga currently).

I've toyed with the idea of opening the PA side with a meatotomy for a while and I'm wondering if anyone here has had an apadravya that they've "added" a meatotomy to to create a "halfadravya."

If I decided to go through with it, I could either perform the procedure myself using the clamp-and-cut method (my piercer would happily autoclave everything I need and let me use his shop space) or I could hit up someone like Brian Decker.

Does anyone have advice for performing a meatotomy on their own?

My research has shown me that the clamp-and-cut method accompanied with silver nitrate is a common way to go...any thoughts?

Are sutures necessary or has anyone had luck with just silver nitrate?

Usually a meatotomy is cut with a scalpel or with electrocautery. Of course you can also take a laser to do so. The result is the same. The advantage of an electric cautery and a laser is that the bleeding will stop immediately, because the wound edges are cauterized. Permit, it is important to make small incisions, to edit it with silver nitrate and then heal.

Look up mrgood2 here on bodymod & chat with him, he did his own meatotomy & is quite friendly in answering questions.

i made my PA into a meato, i put a taper through the pa piercing and out of the penis eye so it was tight & scalpel, i put the glove over the end of the cut so i don't bleed everywhere like a piercer would after a genital piercing.

as for the term "halfadravya" the proper term would be a reverse prince albert after the meato

Maybe at some point. Still not sure. Just kinda wanted to put my feelers out to see if anyone had done it and could share their experience.
