Does anyone have experience making wooden plugs? Could it be done with a Dremel or is a lathe necessary? Does anyone have any advice regarding making wooden jewelry?

Do your research! Make sure you know what wood you're working with and what reactions humans may have to the material.

It could be done with a dremel. I am not sure about you, but i am not good enough with one to make a perfect circle. I would recommend a lathe or you could use a drill press and hole saw drill bits.

a lathe and a good chuck safety equipment (face masks and respirator to keep all that dust and wood out of your mouth and nose, it cakes up pretty easily) and sharp tools (keeping them sharp is important so you might want to invest in a sharpening jig too), make sure you have the right dimensions and tpi (treads per inch) the rest is lots of research and practicing
it not cheap to get into and dont start with expensive woods till your comfortable |
