Hey everyone!

I got my favorite mod on myself (my ear points) two years ago this summer.

Unfortunately, I've noticed that the tissue that stretches across my ear to connect the base of the points (not the pinnacles) has degraded a lot, which has taken most of the dramatic look out of the points.

My immediate thought was that I want to get them redone, maybe keep butterfly bandages on them while healing this time. Then I stopped and thought, but wait? Wouldn't the exact same thing happen?
Is there a different method to lessen the possibility of this outcome or a different method of aftercare, maybe better support for them than butterfly bandages atop the stitches?

Any ideas, anyone? Greatly appreciate any thoughts and ideas, appreciate even more anyone with experience.

I have only done one set, and they too are much less dramatic 4 years later.  I have seen the same thing happen with sets done by those artists considered industry wide to be masters of the procedure, so I know you aren't alone in the issue.

With a procedure that evasive, you should be able to contact said artist for that kind of advice with your issue.

(So my grammar and spelling suck, oops.)

I've contacted said artist.

Hence why I'm turning to a forum for brain storming.
Thanks for your advice ^_^ Much appreciated.

And what do you mean by the procedure being evasive? As in... uncommon, difficult to pinpoint artists who perform it?

Or deceptive, misleading, indirect or anything else that fits with the definition of the word?

I'm no expert, but it's not THAT invasive.

Basically a little bit of flesh removal with stitches.

I meant it as it as invasive, thanks Mike.

One of the first things I ask all clients who come to my shop asking for help on a mod I did not do is if they spoke to the original artists to see what advice they were all ready given, so I can better understand how to help them because maybe the advice was wrong.

And thanks for the grammar lesson and sarcasm.The%20Finger

I must of missed the part of your original post where you said you contacted the original artist.
Or the part were you said you got your easy mod done by a well trained and reputable artist like:
Brian Decker?
Steve Hayworth?
Sammpa Von Cyborg?
MontanaPiercer?

The ones who can answer questions from their clients so they don't need to brainstorm about something so trivial as your procedure.
You know, the respected surgical modification artists in our industry who can actually give you a response.

A little bit of flesh removal with stitches?
Maybe if you took your mod more seriously, and had it done by someone reputable that can answer your fucking question you wouldn't need to brainstorm about something as trivial as a little bit of flesh removal with stitches. In fact if its so basic, why ask at all, just Google it.

As you can see, people are tripping all over themselves to answer your post, maybe that should give a clue about how serious your surgical modification is.

in·va·sive[in-vey-siv]

adjective

1.
characterized by or involving invasion;  offensive: invasive war.
2.
invading,  or tending to invade;  intrusive.
3.
Medicine/Medical . requiring the entry of a needle, catheter, or other instrument into a part of the body, especially in a diagnostic procedure, as a biopsy.

I'm only a little white girl trolling, don't be mad XD

In fact, if you had asked me any of those questions, you would have had the answer, instead of just telling me to go talk to someone I'd already talked with.

I didn't realize you should treat people badly as a professional because of something you failed to find out.

I asked for IDEAS, brain storming. I didn't ask for a decision, for a procedure or anything else like that. If you didn't have a brain storm, maybe you shouldn't have posted on a brain storming session?

You seem to be the only one who didn't have jack to offer who posted, so... I'm not sure I'd be rushing to the pulpit, sir.

When did you say you spoke to someone, i'm not seeing that part? Oh, because you didn't.
I guess the part where you came at me all hard and sarcastic was me being unprofessional towards you? Oh well, no sense arguing with a troll.

But...Good girl, at least calling me sir is a good start.Paddle

Hope your ear issue works out for you.

Unfortunately, I still don't know where you're pulling the belief that you've previously asked me about this artist?

Without sources, you're just talking out of your ass. I didn't realize it was displayed so prominently on your face, though.

You've done well in life.

To reiterate, you're repeating your pointless blather while I'm looking for actual ideas. Thanks for calling attention to your lack of information.

This is the first time I've had someone with as much history on this site respond to a question of mine with as much gusto and idiocy as someone who signs up to ask how to perform a piercing on themselves. So this is the first reason I've had to be a troll on here.

Thanks for being the first one XD
