I've decided that I want to begin a waist corsetry project (on myself XD) and while I've seen pictures of advanced stages and I have a pretty good idea of how these people (I didn't want to dis-include any guys)end up that way, but is there a particular way to begin outside of buying a real corset?
I realize that's how it needs to end up, but I'm looking for beginning advice. Any takers? |

To start waist training properly, you'll need a proper corset. Snobz are a good brand. As a general rule for an off the hanger corset, measure your hips first. Hip measurements are typically 10 inches larger than the waist, so if you have 34 inch hips, get a 24 inch waist.
To properly train, you'll need to wear it pretty constantly. Once you manage to close that corset, you can progress to the next size down (but this time you should get one custom made for your measurements or it'll dig in at the hips). Wear that during the day, and sleep in your old one. Have a search on the forums for teacake- she was big on waist training and had some good advice. I would advise on getting a real corset though with proper boning, otherwise they don't hold you in properly. It's a tough thing to do, and requires some dedication and will power but the results are incredible! Good luck! |

Hi! :) I'm super interested in this as well, and from what I've read, steel-boned corsets are a must because the ones with plastic lose shape really easily.

if you can sew then can I suggest getting the laughing moon dore corset pattern and making your own. You can re-use the steels as you need to make smaller sizes.
