Was just curious on what a small D-ring captive bead would look like in the septum?
Do you think it would look awkward? I figure, if a regular captive bead looks like it hangs a little low, then a d-ring would bring it up a little. Specifically, Diameter: 8mm~5/16" with 3mm ball If I don't make sense I'm sorry. |

If you think it looks good, then go for it. Personal aesthetics is important, not our opinions.
That being said, I like the way it looks. :) |

A d-ring and a captive are pretty similar, except a d-ring will sit with the straight part in the nose. It doesn't hurt to try it. Appearance really depends on the diameter of the jewelry, and you will have the same results with a captive or a d-ring.
