So I got my nostrils punched at 1g about 6 weeks back, maybe 4 times throughout that period I'd wake up to find my jewelry had fallen out of my face (typically within an hour or so of it happening, I figure just because it never seemed to hurt when I put them back in.) I'm wearing glass nails? single flared plug that's decently long for the swelling.

the right side of my nose on the top portion of the punch essentially has a flare coming up out of it. It looks a bit narly in the sense it's red(ish)/pink.

What should I do? Do I take them out? I don't think they're at a point that it would look healthy to do so and I don't want to get shit at work for not wearing anything in the healing piercings.

tbh I'm really depressed this happen w/ my nostrils and want to make it right while I have a chance? WHAT DO?!?

I would go see the piercer that did them for you.

You can also try posting a picture so the pro's on the website here have something to look at.

My non-pro advice is to do some sea salt soaks and leave it the hell alone until you can have it looked at. Also, try finding a way to sleep that isn't going to disrupt them.

A picture would definitely help, but going to see your piercer is the best way. As long as they know what they're doing

I talked to my piercer today, he thinks it's because the flare on the jewelry is just digging a bit into the piercing, I told him that if they weren't fixable at some point I might just have him punch them again at like a 0g-00g and he figured that was doable so idk, I guess I'll just ride it out a bit, going to start treating it with tea tree oil as it might be a hypertrophic scar and not a blowout after checking it out a bit better today.
