im 24 ive been drawwing and painting my whole life .... about 2 years ago i started fucken around with doen tats in jail for noodles n shyt .... than i made a at home gun (im a mechanic so my shyt works flawlessly as u can get a at home gun)... ive done 3 tats on other people and 6 tatts on myself with it in the last 6 months or so and i feel that the gun is holding me back now...
does anybody on here have advice for a good starter kit . i dont kno if i trust the ebay jap crap ...

Usually, "at home" piercers, "scratcher" as they are know are not very well seen around here, though there are some cases with some success like Tattoobox.
Have you considered applying for an apprenticeship at a tattoo parlor? It would help you greatly and teach you things you simply cannot "figure out" Like it seems there is a lot to learn about cross contamination, sterilization and such which are as important as the tattoo gun, specially from the costumer POV. |

Something like this is a good basic tattoo machine. A "kit" is basically a cheap piece of eBay crap a 14 year old can maim their friends with. Professionals buy high quality goods from a wholesaler. |

tattooing on people
tattooing on yourself
bragging about doing jailhouse tattoos, nobody cares or is impressed
doing things where you have no clue how to do them properly, ever hear of cross contamination?
 seriously. Try learning at least one proper thing about what you are doing.
