Topic: Horizontal tongue piercing

I'm thinking about getting a horizontal tongue piercing through the very tip of my tongue, I've heard a lot of the risks, but it is a very unique piercing that I am willing to take risks to have. I just want to do my research before getting it, and I would love to hear testimonies from people who have had it done.

That sort of piercing seem like one to require a lot of work, ie eating will/could become complicated, if you want to keep your teeth intact that is.
That being said, it is a cool looking piercing.

I think there were some interviews on BME at some point. From memory, most of the people interviewed didn't keep them for long and said they were annoying, difficult to heal and limited the movement of their tongue.

how near the tip are we talking about? it was a minor fashion fad amongst the lightly modified around here an year ago or so to get a "surface" piercing through the tip of the tongue, horizontally, they seemed to heal pretty normally, but expect MAJOR tooth damage
