I am determined to get this done. However, I live in the UK and have tried all body mod studios for quite a range around my area. None of which would do the procedure.
I was hoping someone on this site may be able to point me in the right direction, if necessary I will do it myself. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello! I am curious as to why you want it done? For the sensation or for something more? Irregardless of the answer, I may be able to help you. I'll ask around.

The idea was striking on BME...
It gives a true additional sense.

Most critical Thing was the way, the reactive metal can be shielded from the chemical Actions our Body can do.

If you can get a well done PTFE coat it may work out.

Doing it yourself? If you know how to work, sterile... But think also about placement, I think this is a critical factor here (were in the finger, how deep), and likely.... it's REALLY painful, a fact maybe not helping ding it yourself correctly.
I did a lot of my piercings myself, but the idea of pushing an implant into a finger makes me cringe.

Even the healing the next few days after the procedure is very painful (depending on the location, I'm sure). Mine is in my pinky, and it was not fun to heal. I can't imagine having decided to do it myself.

Thank you for the replies. The sensation is what I am greatly interested in, the ability to effectively gain a new "sense". I would also say for the science of it.
I live in the South East of England, I would be willing to travel to get it done but of course the closer the better really. I would not be against doing it myself, but I feel better having someone who knows more doing it.

I would be up for waiting, though I haven't seen anything relating to when he may be available. Do you know when he travels about?

i'm pretty sure he's in london right now, the problem isn't the travel schedule in your case, more the waiting line that can be up to a year

Slow to the action on this one... But I had my magnetic implant done by Quentin at Kalima in Worthing and that's in the South East, he's worth travelling for :)
