Okay, I've had this bump on the inside of my gauged ear since Tuesday (it's now Sunday) and this bump WILL NOT go away. I've downsized jewelry, clean it regularly with sea salt soak and hydrogen peroxide (recommended by a different piercer) and this thing is still there. Doesn't hurt as much as it did and it doesn't seem to really be irritated. Someone please help me out with this, I'm running out of ideas! Is it ever gonna go away? Is it safe for me to size up or should I wait till it disappears? And WHY did it happen in the first place? I've been at 5/8 for close to a year at this point and never had an issue.

as you can see from the picture the bump has taken over the gauge hole

wow that's pissed the fk off, it shouldn't be a major issue just remove the jewelry then wait for the piercing to heal really well before putting jewelry back in (you should probably downsize when you do put jewelry back in) - its not safe to size up and you should infact temporarily downsize D:.

do the saline soaks, when its not so raw u can start with vitamin e or emu oil rubs (stimulates healing)
