I got my nipple pierced on my birthday in January and I haven't really had any problems with them. I've kept up with the cleaning and everything. They do crust over in the mornings and after long periods of time, but I've been told that's completely normal. This weekend however I forgot to clean them regularly because I've been very busy the whole day and I noticed this today. What is it? I think it's a keloid? Should I take it out permanently or switch to a barbell?

There is a related active post here right now... which doe not look that clearly infected. This bump here is obviosly a drainage problem, a small abscess. You even see on the picture it is yellowish in the middle. You need to clean that - pus will come out of that bump, switch to antiseptic rincages and have quite some patience, as BWP are slow healers.
You also see hallmarks of migration, the piercing was made staight, a ring is curved - but at this time Point now, the channel probably adapted to the ring, but some damage was done. It would have definitely been better to start with a barbell, and switch to a ring not before the healing process is complete. Now maybe it is best to leave it as ist is. |
