To sum up the new system and to clear the worries of a few people, there are 2 different buttons to delete a comment... there is a delete button that just deletes it without hurting their rep score, and there is a rude button that will delete it and hurt their rep score. I can think of a few people that i'm sure will lose their comment posting ability damn quick, but I'll leave that up to the mod posters for the existing ones.

You just think of everything Adam! It's sad that you have to do this though... I mean why must there be so many closed minded people out there, that feel the need to post such hateful comments? Anyway, keep up the good work!

I'm glad to see this idea finally go live, and while the new button is neat, I still liked the old plan for a "he's being a dick" button greytongue

i think we should start by removing all those people that sided with the skittles revelutionary front in the great skittles / rieces pieces war of 2005
