okay so i just bought 5/8ths 3 days ago, and i assumed since my ears were getting so used to my 1/2 inches ive had for so long that they were falling out all the time that maybe it would be okay to skip 9/16 since they're hard to find arround here unless i drive a half an hour. well that didnt work, it just aggitated my ear and i decided id give it a break, then later that night i tried again.... same results and then i added some tape to my earings which was a decent ammount so they fit snug, but my left ear that i tried putting the jewelry into probably tore a little bit so now its pussing and all.... but how long should i wait for this to heal and everything before i put more tape on and is there any ways besides scalpeling and reconstruction to fix my minor blowouts, like i said its sticking out just a little bit, but i fear by 1" it will be gross, its getting worse with every size beyond 1/2". will saline soaks get them back to normal? (infection and blowout)

a couple of weeks for sure

make sure you are only using teflon tape, other types use toxic adhesives

cant answer about the blowouts, small ones will sometime recede on their own, but not always, and usually will require a little snipping
