Do they even exist? I have very small hands and the xs work well enough but I really need a smaller size.

Never seen them in that size,doesn't mean they aren't made just might take a bit of searching.
Also have you tried different brands? I know some glove companies make them a bit smaller/larger.For example I was using Microflex Nitriles in medium and they were tight,uncomfortably so,to the point of making my hands numb after a few minutes.I've since switched to Omni and they fit perfectly.
Just a thought.
