- Successful test of the new suspension rig

My body art history in a nutshell:
My name is Lukas Larson, and I've been working in body art for about 11 years. I received my only formal training from Fakir Musafar in 2001, and have since branched from body piercing into scarification and suspension. I remain very active with the community. I attend the APP regularly, and travel often for suspension in other states. I currently only work by appointment, and occasionally do guest appearances at other studios. My portfolio is representative of my very old work, and the work I've just done. My home was burglarized and all the electronics were taken including everything my work was on (always back up). These photos were just taken, or were scanned from hard copies.
My personal body modifications:
My personal experience of body modification is probably 200 or so actual piercings with jewelry left in them to a point of being healed, or in some cases failure by rejection or inflammation. These were mostly in the beginning when I was piercing myself every week, but now I don't get much work done. I have had just about every genital piercing you can get, but only wear my 6 gauge apadravya and 10 gauge hafadas (pierced by Fakir) currently. I have 0 Gauge bamboo through my nipples, a 00 gauge septum which I only wear a 6 gauge ring in to facilitate easier breathing, 00 gauge upper cartilage piercings, 1 1/4" ear lobes, 10 dermal divers below my eyes, a self split tongue, and quite a bit of tattooing. Today I have much more natural look. I love bodybuilding, and this has been my most radical body modification. I have changed my body drastically from an underweight 6' 130lbs 18 year old, to 230lbs at the age of 27. This is hands down the most painful body modification there is. All the hours of massage therapy and ligament pains, muscle ache, beaten up body for years upon years is no comparison to something you sit through for hours at most and it's over. I know this isn't the kind of body modification that is often discussed here, but if you want to see more of my bodybuilding pics you can visit my myspace page
My current body modification practices:
I suspend often. At least once a month when I don't have conflicts. Suspension has been the most profound ritual I've experienced, and am working on developing my own equipment for more comfortable and safe suspensions. If you're in the LA area and want to suspend, drop me a line, I'm always looking for others to hang with. You don't have to be an artist either, I'm fine with suspending with just about anyone.
My business:
My primary focus currently is manufacturing and distributing body modification tools and suspension equipment. My company is Dissected Art. Dissected Art is the only distributor of all the equipment needed for suspension and body modification.
